How we began
From a Single Farm to a Global Network
Purego International was established in Pune, Maharashtra — the heart of India's grape and onion belt. What began as a partnership with a handful of progressive farmers has grown into a network of over 5,000 farmer partners across more than 100 acres of land spanning Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Rajasthan.
Our founders saw a gap: Indian produce of exceptional quality was being undervalued in global markets due to inconsistent grading, inadequate cold chain, and fragmented export practices. Purego was built to close that gap — with rigorous standards, direct farm relationships, and a commitment to transparency at every step.
Today we export to more than 30 countries across Europe, the Gulf, Southeast Asia, and South Asia — shipping grapes, onions, pomegranates, and mangoes that consistently meet and exceed international phytosanitary and residue standards.
